Tofino Camping Tour (From Victoria)
Visit Canada's best beaches, try surfing, and experience camping Canadian style! This 2-day tour departs from Victoria but will also pick up and drop off at the ferry terminal in Nanaimo for anyone wanting to join this tour from Vancouver.

Tour Highlights
This tour will show you all the best places on Vancouver Island, including Canada’s most beautiful beaches! On Saturday we will depart Victoria and stop in Chemainus to see the famous murals, and then stop at Cathedral Grove (forest of giant trees, some over 1000 years old). Then we will arrive in the village of Tofino with time for shopping, visiting art galleries, and checking out the surf culture of this famous town! Then its time to head to the beach to relax, swim, take photos or play a game of “bocce ball”. In the evening we head to our campsite where you can enjoy a BBQ dinner and campfire party! On Sunday, take a surf lesson, go whale watching or kayaking (optional) and visit more famous beaches and sights. On the way home, we’ll stop at Coombs Country Market for dinner, shopping and to see the goats on the roof!

Surfing

Come on out and learn to surf on the beautiful sandy beaches of Tofino with our fun and experienced crew of at Surf Sisters. With over 100(!) combined years of teaching experience over 13 years, we have the skills and technique to take you from beginner to surfer in a safe and supportive environment. We’re with you every step, giving you the tips and pointers you need to progress.
Whale Watching
Board a whale watching tour in Tofino to enjoy some of the most spectacular scenery in the world! Because much of this coast is uninhabited and accessible only by boat or floatplane……it remains a pristine wilderness. This rich and nutrient filled ocean is filled with a variety of marine wildlife including many different species of whales as well as harbour seals and sealions, sea otters, porpoises and a myriad of birdlife including puffins, blue herons and bald eagles.
Bear Watching
Clayoquot Sound offers the most incredible coastline for viewing black bears. These adventure tours cruise through the protected and calm waters surrounding scenic Meares Island. The resident bears come down to the beaches at low tide to forage for such beach delicacies as rock crab, starfish and even a bit of kelp. They are an absolute pleasure to watch from the boat and thanks to their poor eyesight they are usually unaware of our presence so long as we keep quiet and a respectable distance up wind. You will also have grand opportunities on this tour to view an eagle aerie, harbour porpoises, seals, river otters, blue herons and other species of wildlife!
Please note that we can not guarantee availability for certain options if you do not book in advance and the price of the options will increase slightly if you wait to purchase it on tour. Save money and guarantee availability by booking the options at the same time as booking the tour.
TENT UPGRADE OPTIONS
The advertised price is based shared tents of 6-10 people. To upgrade to a private tent for you and your friends, please choose “upgrade to private tent” option. The cost of upgrading is an additional $15 per person.

Itinerary
Itinerary
-Meet your guide at Douglas and Broughton in front of St. Andrew's church at 8:00am
-8:15am: Leave Victoria for Chemainus
-Visit the famous Chemainus murals and go souvenir shopping
-Visit Cathedral Grove (800+ year old trees, some of the biggest in Canada!)
-Spend the afternoon exploring beautiful beaches and the town of Tofino
-Photo contest on the beach or learn how to play Bocce Ball
-BBQ dinner and campfire party at the campsite
-Optional activity: Surfing Lesson (2.5 - 3 hours) $80 including all equipment. Whale watching and kayaking also available (extra cost)
-If you aren't surfing, enjoy a trip to Chesterman beach or free time for shopping in Tofino
-Visit Wickaninnish Center and relax at the beach
-Shop and visit "goats on the roof" at famous Coombs Market
-Return to Victoria on Sunday evening approximately 7:30pm
